Whats your fav thing to do in winter time ?! For us it's gardening, running and having several cups of chai a day. There's nothing like heating the body, then resting up and having an early night. Apart from when the sports are on, then routine gets thrown out the window. Seems as though diners come and leave earlier so they can do the same.
We've had a busy month at the shop and elsewhere, making use of the cooler weather. We've had a few home made prawn and crab curry nights that have proven to be super popular too. I call it food for the soul. I always come away feeling warm and smiley. So come in and try it.
We went restaurant hopping at a few of the more known restaurants in Auckland a couple weeks back. As usual we went to Indian places. Our top picks were Cassia and Paradise. Cassia, especially, had flavours quite different to your usual Indian place so we enjoyed the different take on it.Im no food critic but would definitely say that it was right up there. If ya up in Auckland and wanting a treat, I'd recommend it. Or if you are wanting something a bit more traditional and are a bit budget conscious you can't go past Paradise. Your senses will thank you either way.
Pradeep has been working at his garden, frantically bidding on pavers to create Pinterest masterpieces. To all those gardners out there you'll have to come check out how he goes. He has some big plans; water features, outdoor fire places and motes.
As for the running, a good thing for the heart in the morning and to stay fit and warm over the colder months. If you'd like to join me for a run on Tuesday or Thursday mornings hit me up. I'd love the company!!
So that's us for month! Stop by, even if it's just for chai. We have plenty of spare seats at lunch too. New menu design coming soon.
