Warm, welcoming staff and delicious high quality food. This is the best Indian restaurant we have visited in New Zealand! Pradeep and his staff really looked after us, we could not have asked for a better host and he really shows a passion for creating delicious food whilst still finding the time to talk with his guests. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and will definitely return on our next visit to Tauranga. - Tripadvsior Review

Clean, fresh Indian food. They willingly catered for our diary free requirements. Very generous, happy staff. Place is spotlessly clean. Definitely recommended to anyone craving a good curry

The owner has so much experience and it shows. It is a family business and they are very polite and lovely, they are very proud of their cuisine. This is where you will discover the taste of REAL Indian food so expect it to be different from a mall version. Friends and family love it here too

We tried the new lunch menu and the experience was so good that we are bringing a large group back here for lunch later this month.
It is easy to see why this place has such a large and loyal following... the food is fantastic, and although the banquet option was available we were more than satisfied with the great thali and curry options at only $10 and $12.
This great restaurant has been around for more than 20 years in Tauranga, and there can't be a better recommendation. Few establishments can claim that longevity.

Thanks Pradeep for an amazing lunch. Best value for money. Will definately be telling everyone you are now open for lunches. The butter chicken was to die for, just melted in your mouth. Everything else was exceptional too. You guys rock - Facebook Review

While Talk of India has been operating since the 1900s serving excellent Indian meals, they have only recently opened for lunches.

And what lunch specials! The beef or lamb in a delicate tasty curry with coconut rice and Naan bread at $10 was very good. But the star was that ubiquitous Indian lunch, the Thali, a wonderful selection for curries, meat and vegetables, dhal, salad, rice and Naan bread. Now I have eaten a lot for Naan bread over the years but this had to be the finest – crisp on the bottom with a light almost fluffy texture. At $12 for the Thali it was worth the price for the Naan bread alone!

Having done lunch reviews of six of Tauranga’s Indian restaurants I can only say that this must be No.1. I highly recommend their new lunch menu – do go and enjoy. -
